Is your fulfillment born from your shortcomings and flaws?

Buntu Majaja’s 7Days2Day — Episode 8

Everyday has its ups and it has its downs. Every life does too. And we have problems and we help each other and we learn from each other and we grow. This is the ability for humans to be humans.

Some people will go for really complex-complicated problems like national childhood education and some will go for more intimate problems like raising my child. However it is this problem and solution that is the yin and yang of life and purpose.

So I write this thanks to a combination of book reading, meditation, TED and you-tube watching.

Where I have without a doubt experienced a high degree of trauma in myself in the last 12 months or so. This trauma has manifested in different ways and has been caused by different things however I am coming to find that at its core (of course like a tamanegi (onion in Japanese right?) it has many cores) its really based on the way I have been raised and the programming that I have received collectively in my many previous environments where I did not have much control over the environment except myself and a my simple desire to excel, to manifest a better version of me.

Like all children do. Thats why they have endless potential.

So you will excel in the environment that has been created or taught to you. But what if the environment is wrong for who you want to be. Because the world is so big right, there are so many environments, so many worlds in the world. The moment you leave that environment you can realise, wait, it was wrong, and now the rules you’ve learnt cant help you.

This is the challenge of people learning new skills in changing industries, this is the challenge for people that leave small towns to work and study in the big city and the other way round. This is the problem for me from an employee mindset family and poor attitude mindset upbringing yet wants to help many many many people through socio-economic problems and be a successful entrepreneur and businessman. So there is a sacrifice of “old me” that has to happen and often that is not comfortable, its ugly and painful. Is it not?

So we all have our levels on the ladder that we are climbing but to realise that you are on a ladder and whether its the right ladder is a step in itself. To realise that every ladder, with someone and each step matters, is quite a leap.

So we are all growing in some way, everyday, all facing our own demons, if we so dare to. I am therefore appreciating here…my demons that I am facing, the fight they are putting up but how I am ultimately winning against them. I can feel the progress and that gives me a great sense of fulfillment despite my shortcomings and flaws. To know that over time and effort, I can fill up the gaps.

My hope is to share that possibility to you, to people. That you are in the process of carving your gaps and you should know what the best version of you that you can imagine now, is. Then you go onto brick by brick, motar by motar building it and manifesting it. Much love and peace to you.
