“You are not living unless you dying to” — Unknown
Buntu Majaja, 7days2day: Episode 4

If life is a once in a lifetime opportunity, why does it pass us by, every single day. Most of the time we do not even realise this.
Well, at least until its too late, not until we get that phone call or when we wake up and do not know how we got there. What about when you realise this might be your last breath.
Life just has a different meaning when you have this intrinsically most important realisation. All your worries that you thought you had this morning, yes, they mean nothing now.
I hope more of us can embrace this state of mind. I have been thinking a lot about happiness and success , what it means and what is, for me. Maybe you as well. And I have concluded, at least in part, that the people that live for what they would die for, have happiness and success.
So, we all love lists. I have three things I want to share when it comes to living your best version or at least as an attempt to inspire you today.
1) Believe that it is possible.
Sometime we do not start, not because we do not know how to start but because we do not know that if we start we can finish. I have met people that believe their dreams are not valid. That they are not able to pursue an ideal life for them. Not a better life, but an ideal life. The life that you would want to live if money were no object. What this is really about is knowing yourself.
2) Burn the boat and you will take the island
This means that you have to get to a point where you do not have a choice but succeed. It reminds me of a story about a small army who wanted to conquer the island of a larger army. The army general realised that the odds were against them and he ordered the soldiers to burn all the boats. “The only way we will get off this island is by using their boats once we conquer the island”. One would think this is suicide, however, when something is so important that it is beyond you, magic happens. When you reason is so important and compelling for you to succeed, you rise up to the challenge. When you do not have a choice but to continue on this path you wake up one day on top of the mountain.

It does not mean .burn the boats with the gun powder and weapons still inside. Be responsible and prepare yourself enough but that is up to you to define “enough”. Once again this about knowing yourself.
3) Remember why, and remember you are on a journey
This is a tricky one because, journey’s imply that you are going somewhere and a goal implies a destination. “Know where you are going” — “Dream big” makes it seem like the point is the dream. Yes, its important to remember this big WHY, however what is also important is to remember that it is a process and a journey. What does this mean. It means that: The point is not where you are going but who you become in the process of going there. Most importantly its about the memories you have of how you got there. This is what you really have when you “get there”. These memories, other wise it will be a now just like now.

So make sure you love the journey, make sure you love what you doing. If you don’t you may give up anyway. Make sure are always growing in what you love. Focus on you, how are you changing, how you experiencing the process. What matters to YOU! Please know yourself.
So there you go, the ultimate thing about living a life that you would die for is to KNOW YOURSELF.
